I
began with showing you how to worship me as Creator by observing my creation.
Now I want you to learn to worship me as Giver with a capital G.
All
good things come from above so begin to look at the good things in your world,
not just the good things in your life.
As
Giver, I am first of all generous. This is seen and proved in seedtime and
harvest. Look at the ear of corn, which begins with just one seed, which
produces a plant with many ears, which contain many seeds. One seed does not
just produce one seed or even one ear. This is an example of my generosity.
What
other examples of such generous increase come to your mind? What about the great
oak tree from a single acorn? What about the supply of nuts that comes from a
single tree year after year? What about the multiplication of fish in the ocean
and not just one kind, but thousands and thousands of varieties each multiplying
after their own kinds?
What
about the streams and oceans that literally have no end? There is always a
generous supply. What about the generous rays of sun that cover the whole earth?
Think
of the many harvests upon the earth. Each starts with only one seed. I give you
abundance and more than enough.
When
you had no way to pay your debt for sin, I generously paid it all and even
provided the sacrifice. That one sacrifice then multiplied in the hearts of men
until there was a great army in my Kingdom.
Look
around you. I have provided a world full of abundance. Each time you see a seed
or behold a harvest, you can worship me as “Giver”.
Begin
to observe my giving nature. Begin to see I give without price or payment in
return. Let worship rise in your heart as you observe the fruit of my giving on
this earth. Then worship me as the Giver of life.
