Dear
Lord: I’ve tried to be a good
parent; teach her right from wrong. Maybe
I did a poor job, but whatever the case, she doesn’t want to listen to me and
she’s almost grown. It’s this
“free choice” Lord, that seems to trip us all up.
I’ve
seen her making choices that will hurt her life.
She stays out late and she is listening to the wrong crowd.
She dresses wrong to be like those around her and doesn’t seem to want
our advice.
Lord,
our hearts are broken, watching her mess up her life.
So, I’ve come to you. First
of all, I want forgiveness for whatever part I may have had in her going her own
way, instead of serving You. Then, if you would please, I want to lift her to
You by faith and give her to You. You
can bring circumstances about and people around her that will turn her heart
toward You, I cannot. I ask You,
Father, to protect her from evil and draw her to Yourself.
I just release her by faith to You. I’ll be here for her, if she needs
me, but I’m just releasing her to You for teaching and guiding.
You
gave her to me to love but I need you to help us all.
My way just hasn’t worked. I’m
going to write this date down as the time I gave her back to You. Come as Redeemer and redeem her from going her own way.
I will give you all the praise and all the glory.
Thank
You SO much, Lord. Take my anxiety
and give me Your Peace. Help me
find the way to rest in You for her guidance and salvation.
I cast this to You, and I am just going to rest here for awhile and wait
on You. I ask this thing, and submit it to You in Jesus’ Name, AMEN
