Eternal Love

There was a time I swore I would never love again

It hurts too much to give it my all and have it thrown back into my face

It seemed much easier to keep my distance from any chance of pain

Then to risk it all and get hurt again

But God took me in His loving arms

He healed my heart and made me strong

In Him I have found the greatest love

He completes me in everyway

I surrender my heart, body, soul and spirit to Him

He fills my days with joy and blessings

I do not deserve this incredible love

But He gives it to me anyway

He brings me flowers and paints me beautiful sunsets

He is perfect in every way

He did not create me to be one

But for now, I am to be His alone

In His time, He will bring a mate for me

This He has promised over and over

He will have a heart for God

and together we will serve Him eternally

But for now, I live each day to serve

My master, my love, my bridegroom

He continues to heal, soothe and love me
