Bride Awaiting 

The bride eagerly waits for the bridegroom to appear.

Every second that passes seems a year.

The bridegroom may seem miles away,

But he is only as far as the call of his name.

He has been preparing as the bride for their wedding day,

And yet their preparations are not quite the same.

The bridegroom is preparing a home for his bride,

Where soon he will take her to be by his side.

The bride has collected all of her wedding attire.

Every moment perfection was made for her soft flowing gown,

Her accessories of gold, and sparkling tiara that illuminated like fire.

With no room for error, nor of haste, the moment has finally come to abound.

The bride has prepared a room full of fragrant flowers.

There she sits and waits for her bridegroom in the final hours.

The bride has started the candles burning bright in the night.

Waiting in her apparel, in the sweet aroma of the room.

The final hour has come to take flight.

The bride awaits the sweet anticipated moments of her bridegroom.
